Daredevil
Daredevilwas a springboard forThe Defenderson Netflix , and Jeph Loeb has discussed why the homo without fear was so important for Marvel TV . It ’s not hard to see how successful the partnership between Marvel and Netflix has been . The fact that we ’re getting a team - up series next month is watch crystal clear evidence that fans are love the direction that Marvel TV are currently taking . And whilst Netflix might be a small darker and trigger-happy thanAgents of S.H.I.E.L.D.or even the lateAgent Carter , Marvel are distinctly on to a winner .
It seems like the rationality behind the Netflix winner is the connective tissue paper betweenDaredevil , the MCU and other show following it . Jessica Jones , Luke Cage , Iron Fistand after , The Defenders . Each one has slowly bled through to the next . It ’s make an weave story , standardized to how the first form of the MCU flow across each film culminating in The Avengers . It seems like Kevin Feige and Jeph Loeb have created a money do formula .
Daredevil was the first of these Netflix shows that led the audience into a darker , grimier part of the MCU that we had n’t really experienced before . But in an consultation withVariety , Jeph Loeb discussed how he important Daredevil was for a mini TV universe in a way that had n’t been pave out before now .
" It was a critical show for a mickle of reasons — not just that we were on a different program . Oddly enough , Netflix was a very new web at the time . It ’s voiceless to imagine because their growth has been spectacularly high . Netflix believed in what we wanted to do , which was to do five series , four of which [ “ temerarious , ” “ Jessica Jones , ” “ Luke Cage , ” “ Iron Fist ” ] would culminate in the fifth . And we ’ve been fortunate enough to see other things happen , like “ Daredevil , ” season two , and “ The Punisher , ” which was not part of any plan . The other monumental chore that we took on was to essay to find a way to amplify program idiot box into a world that has n’t been done before . "
Although , with the MCU already well give by the timeDaredevilcame around , Netflix were n’t taking too much of a risk . They ’d already demonstrate that they could take classical fictional character and institute them with a sense of warmth and depth to the big screen . In fact it would be easier to explore eccentric on the small silver screen since they had more hours to dive into . The only bold part was the gritty nature of the serial publication . But Marvel TV do n’t measure their success against their moving-picture show , but how well the audience receives the substance they ’re producing .
" We do n’t run to think in terms of how well we ’re doing . We tend to think of how our hearing is reply to the stories that we ’re telling , and at least so far they seem to like what we ’re doing . "

gratefully it ’s all work out successfully . And like Loeb said , audiences seem to care the shows that Marvel are producing . Some series have get more damaging receptions than others , but we ’re in a world where we ’re get a lively activity interlingual rendition ofThe Defenders , we should n’t plain too much . Hopefully Marvel TV keep their successful streak after their team - up series , and withThe Punisheron the horizon - the future bet dark . In a unspoiled direction .
