However , it is all a ruse , as Doom in realness killed Zemo and replace him with a automaton . As Doom slaughters the HYDRA soldier , he confesses to not only killing Zemo , but also the Red Skull .

While Doctor Doom ’s hatred of Nazis and HYDRA is justifiable , his own actions inOne World Under Doom#1 are not . Doom decries Zemo and the Red Skull for being fascists , but sequester control of a satellite and stump out all form of objection falls under the fascist umbrella as well . Doom is bring down his inviolable will on Earth , ruthlessly wipe out those who disagree with him : in the first issue ’s opening pages , Doom observe an uprising and immediately complete Doombots to quell it . While fans do not know how Doom killed the Red Skull , he crushed Zemo ’s head .
