When it was first announced a few old age back that Marvel would be form a   live - action mechanism street - level niche of its Cinematic Universe , fan were wildly unrestrained . Not only would Marvel be teaming with Netflix to make serial publication base aroundDaredevil , Jessica Jones , Luke Cage , andIron Fist , but the shows would be interconnect and all build towards an Avengers - style team - up inThe defender . ground on the popular comic book team , The Defenderswill be all about small - scale leaf threats , specifically to New York and its citizen . Now ,   after years of construction and waiting , it ’s almost here .

After two seasons ofDaredeviland one each ofJessica JonesandLuke Cage , onlyIron Firstremains to complete the circle . With the origin of Danny Rand coming in March , everything is finally in place for the Defenders to come together and deliver New York fromthe scourge of Sigourney Weaver . Thanks toa neat videoandseries of photosa couple of weeks back , we last get to see the Defenders all together . WE also of late determine the series will   hit Netflix sometime in the summertime . Now , all that ’s leave is to await and keep ourselves occupied with the never - endingstream of photosthat are coming out of the production .

While it seems inevitable that Jessica and Luke will get back together ( seeing as they ’re married and have a kid in the comics ) , the author and producer are more than happy to make us wait . by fromJessica ’s reluctanceto even be a part of the team , there ’s the fact that Luke and Rosario Dawson ’s Claire Templekind of have a thing going . We saw it commence onLuke John Cage , but all signs seem to indicate it ’s still fall out when the heroes all join forces .

Any potential relationship drama aside , The Defenderslooks like it ’s going to be a bam . Krysten Ritter isalready spoil for a second seasonof the series , and the Netflix shows   continue to help sum up some awesome component toMarvel ’s appeal of TV show . All in all , it ’s a big prison term to be a comic book and television rooter . With filming presently underway forThe Defenders , we ’re certain to learn a whole caboodle more in the coming weeks as we channelise towards the show ’s premiere .
