The Defenders
In 2012,The Avengerssaved the planet , but a few blocks in New York City were horribly damage by their conflict with Loki . While the damage that happens to small areas of the world has been address in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films - most specifically inCaptain America : Civil War - the absolute majority of the MCU ’s hero have been too busy protecting the dry land and guarding the galaxy to aid clean up the street after a bountiful conflict leaves a metropolis scarred . They do n’t have time to deal with drug dealer and crime Almighty ; the hoagy who do that , trying to pick up area of New York like Hell ’s Kitchen and Harlem , are not Avengers . They are Defenders .
There have been three serial so far dealing with these heroes : Daredevil , Jessica Jones , andLuke coop . come up next isIron Fist , the taradiddle of a vengeful billionaire with unbelievable martial fine art skills , assist by a mystic magnate . Once that show has air , it will be time for all these heroes to team up and work together - protecting New York asThe Defenders .
Iron Fistactors Finn Jones and Jessica Henwick lately sat down withIGNto talk of the town about bothIron FistandThe Defenders . One of the things they utter about was the relationship between Danny Rand and Luke Cage , who are cooperator in the comics . According to Jones , his relationship with actor Mike Colter - who both he and Henwick key as"So much fun " - is really good and that carry over into the relationship with the characters . Jones admits that some of the scenes he partake with Colter have been his favorites so far .
Jones specifically praised theDefenders ' writers , observe that the kinship between Rand and Cage is something the lover have huge expected value for and commenting that the scripts have a slow and lifelike figure for the kinship that he experience pay off . He also credited his personal relationship with Colter and the rude vigor between them .
Jones was also asked how Rand , who is an optimistic fibre , fits in with his darker and more jaded Defenders . Jones noted that his character ’s lighthearted hopefulness" … beget him in a lot of trouble . “Apparently there are some who would take advantage of Rand , which can endanger him . While Matt Murdock , Jessica Jones , and Luke Cage have survive in a world full of wickedness and dangers their whole lives , Rand has been isolated in a monastery since childhood . It makes sense that he would have a more upbeat view of the world than the others . This interview indicate that when he returns to New York on his own series , some of that light will be dampened . By the time he joins the others , he will still have a gay outlook than they have - but he will not be as uninstructed as before .
