Elektra has no problem killing her opposition , and fails to empathise just why it bothers Matt to do so .
WhenDaredevilseason 2 came to an end , Stick remained very much alive , despite several skinny calls . His survival of the fittest was mostly thanks to former student Matt , although he ’d likely be unwilling to hold it to anyone else . During a late interview withAOL Build , Glenn was asked about where on the dot Stick sits on the scurf of skilful guy and bad guy spot - season 2 and pre - Defenders . Here ’s what he had to say on the subject .
" A weird Zane Grey area . It ’s like Daredevil and Elektra are my kids and I essentially take in them both , trained them to struggle . The written problem I have with Daredevil is the one line he wo n’t spoil – take human life . He ’ll beat multitude up horrendously , put them in a hospital , do whatever he has to do but he wo n’t obliterate people . All I do is kill people . And working with the Chaste , I ’m a blind assassin . [ … ] I ’m a Defender against the bad immorality in the world and my only way of consider with that is down people . So it is a grey area kind of matter . I do n’t mean of myself as a forged mortal . But I do n’t think of myself as a in particular ripe person either . And the way I work with that is that I ’m a soldier in combat in a do-or-die war and that ’s the fashion I have to behave . "
Like the absolute majority of major survive characters in Marvel ’s Netflix serial so far , Stick will of class play a role inThe Defendersminiseries , although it ’s not entirely light just how polar of a part he ’ll flirt in the history . After all , the confirmed cast is quite Brobdingnagian for only eight episodes , and the focus will likely stay mostly on thetitular teamof four heroes . Still , based on Glenn ’s powerhouse acting ability , it ’s hard to envisage that he wo n’t make an impact in whatever screen prison term he ’s given .
base on Glenn ’s self - appraisal above though , it ’ll be interesting to see just how on theDefenders’side he ends up being . While it ’s highly unlikely that he ’d in reality align with theside of iniquity , he decidedly is far from a pure soul , and would probably become annoyed at attempt to shape within the constraint of the no - killing policy ( usually ) get hitched with by Daredevil , Jessica , Luke , and Iron Fist . If one thing ’s for sure , it ’s that Stick wo n’t be content to last out on the sidelines of the engagement .
