The day those that closely follow the Marvel Cinematic Universe have been waiting for will happen eventually as Kevin Feige backs a next crossover voter between the moving-picture show and TV shows . The potential drop for a MCU crossover has been something many have been hoping for ever since Marvel expanded their orbit beyond the movies . Marvel Studios will have their big crossover inAvengers : Infinity Warwith Avengers and Guardians come together , while Marvel TV take theirs this summer on Netflix withThe Defenders .
However , there are still many other properties that have yet to be truly interwoven into the larger universe . As the MCU continues , the apology for not make this workplace become less passable and beg the doubt as to whether or not the pic and TV display would be better off separate . While it continued to vocalise less than potential that this crossing will manifest before long , the head of Marvel Studios believes it will materialize in due fourth dimension .
i09spoke to Feige about this theory and he was ( surprisingly ) optimistic about the chances of some degree of crossing happening . Specifically , he was asked about the potential for a TV character to appear in the moving picture , or rather if their presence on the humble covert eliminates them from competition to be in the films - and apparently it does not .
Not needs . The time to come ’s a farseeing time . So , the trueness is , I do n’t really know , but there are a mass of TV shows being made , and hopefully we ’ll extend to make a lot of movies . At some point , there ’s conk out to be a crossing over . Crossover , repetition , or something .
This does not specifically mean that fans can one twenty-four hours expect to see Charlie Cox as Daredevil , Chloe Bennet as Quake , Anson Mount as Black Bolt , or even a homecoming to the big screen for Clark Gregg as Coulson , but it does clarify that itispossible . Feige has previously gone on record saying atrue crossover like this is really the subject field of timingthanks to how difficult it is to run along up productions and story electric discharge . Most significantly however , this continues to show a willingness to make it happen , which is all fans can ask for - even if it require a longer wait than desire .
The snotty-nosed side to this however could be the idea of recast . If there are legal reasons behind Cox , Bennet , or any number of TV actors look as their characters on the large blind , Marvel Studios could always recast these role to fetch them to the giving CRT screen . This is less than ideal for fans of the small screen iteration and could almost sense unfair to those that made the character beloved to lead off with . That order , most would agree that character like Quake , Daredevil , Luke Cage , etc . merit to appear alongside the Avengers , and if that requires another doer in the role ( and a few yr gap ) this could be a viable solution .
Either style , it does not sound as though either of these ideas will be explored severely over the next few year , and could waitress until Phase 4 or beyond to see it happen . For now , we will have to sit back and see how things stretch out , but the accompaniment of all MCU dimension will only help make a flick / TV crossing over more of a priority . Luckily , the MCU has more movies dated , many more in growing , plus a act of television receiver shows to keep the universe proceed forward until a time when a crossover is possible .
