It was always a act of a gender volte-face in Iron Fist , in that Danny is kind of the ingénue … and Colleen is the Clint Eastwood , like , ‘ I ’ve been around too long and I do n’t give a shit . ’ She ’s jaded and she ’s sturdy and she does n’t want to have people in . So that was actually part of the charm to me , that they had had that character swap … His outgrowth on Iron Fist and then certainly going into Defenders … By the terminal of Defenders , he ’s a whole unlike character ! It ’s part of the appeal , I imagine , of working with someone like Netflix , is that they give you that freedom to really develop the character . ”
We ’ve heard a similar statement before about how Danny will beready to hold out his funny book costumeby the end ofThe Defenders . WhileIron Fistsaw Danny navigate his novel power and responsibility mostly alone , Finn Jones says the new squad will help teach him how to be a better hero and person :
“ That ’s the great matter about us all coming together , is that we really learn from each other . I think Danny definitely read from all the other superheroes .
