Marvel Comics ' twoDaredevils , Elektra Natchiosand Matt Murdock , are yet again on a hit course with The Hand , and this time there is nothing between the Man and Woman without Fear and an untimely dying — except for Matt ’s former fellowDefenders , Luke Cageand formerIron FistDanny Rand .
To the public , Matt Murdock is beat . After his duplicate brother , Mike , was erroneously killed by Wilson Fisk in a fit of payback - fuel rage during theDevil ’s Reigncrossover effect , Matt used the tragedy to disappear into the shadower , going off the power grid alongside fellow Daredevil Elektra to begin their next mission : to take down the Hand , for good . The duo desire to have make a bigger impact , save more than just Hell ’s Kitchen or New York . They want to salvage the world , and both feel that destruct the Hand is the effective shot at doing just that . Unfortunately for them , however , this mission is destine for tragedy .

In 2021’sDaredevil # 25 , by Chip Zdarsky and Marco Checchetto , Elektra let on her plan to destruct the Hand : sacrifice either herself or Matt to arouse the Fist , the ultimate weapon to end the Hand . If this plans succeed , Matt will either be left numb , distraught or defeated , have in mind there ’s no happy ending for the yoke . Plus , as the event ofPunisher , by Jason Aaron , Jesus Saiz and Paul Azaceta , unfold , the new drawing card of the Hand , Frank Castle , is bound to come to blows with the two as they attempt to destroy the ancient organization of assassins . Simply put , the future tense looks bleak for the two , and the only affair that might be able-bodied to stop them are some of Matt ’s oldest admirer .
InDevil ’s Reign : Omega#1’s"Fall and Rise " account by Zdarsky and Rafael de Latorre , Matt and Elektra are confronted on a rooftop by the former Iron Fist , Danny Rand , andnewly - elected city manager of New York City , Luke Cage . The two question Matt ’s mental limpidity , challenging his decision to evanesce into fantasm or else of mourn for his lost sidekick . While Rand ca n’t assist but call the yoke crazy for taking another shot at the Hand , Cage admits he agrees that stimulate adult goals than stop street thugs is the veracious play .
