In the end , neither part of his past receive the emotional depth or the concealment time it deserved . Star Warsreally should have pluck one or the other , or alternatively , neither , focus instead on Boba ’s current plight and the new sprightliness he was building for himself .

Star Wars Was Too Afraid To Truly Move Forward With Boba Fett
The Book of Boba Fettconsisted of five detach storylines , none of which truly hail together successfully . There was Boba ’s time with the Tuskens , his meeting with Fennec Shand , his reckoning with his living as a bounty huntsman , his need for justice on Tatooine , and the lengthiness of Din Djarin and Grogu ’s narration . The “ Battle of Mos Espa ” was n’t a well - rounded determination . It was a mussy clash of Boba ’s past and present without truly accepting who the show had made him become , broadly speaking book together by a few cool shots of Boba riding a rancor .
IfStar Warswants to move forrard with Boba , it needs to accept that the Boba Fett they animate inThe MandalorianandThe Book of Boba Fettis essentially a novel version of the part . The past is basically irrelevant now , but as we all know , Star Warshas a hard time letting go of nostalgia and its legacy characters .
